Gift inscription on title page reads: 'To a doughty fighter in a great cause Gertrude Telford Best Wishes Tommy D.'. Gertrude Telford was a Canadian pacifist and social activist. 'Doughty' is defined as steadfastly couragous and resolute. Ms. Telford was obviously well known to Douglas since he abbreviated his last name to the initial 'D.' Burgundy cover with silver lettering on spine. Wear to edges of cover and wear to edges of dustjacket. Some light soiling along the edges of the pages. Text pages are all bright, clean.
